Rubbing on the top of my foot

- I've put it through the wringer
I've worn Asolo Styngers for years and loved them. I hoped that these boots would be a suitable replacement. But while test-walking on a carpeted floor, I felt rubbing on the top of my foot near my toes which never happened with my Styngers. This would be problematic on longer hikes. Sadly, I returned them. Will probably buy another pair of Styngers. As info, I have a wide forefoot, high arch and narrow heel. Perhaps other feet won't have the same problem.
