The compact cradle design accommodates a wide variety of bike sizes and frame styles, meaning there's room for the whole family, and all five bikes sit seven inches apart on the arms to provide optimal spacing and eliminate contact. The reinforced cradle straps are now 25% stronger than the previous version, and Thule even included an Integrated Locking Cable to secure your bikes to the rack. The Hitch-Switch design allows the carriers arms to fold down and the entire carrier rack to fold away when it's not loaded, giving you easy access to the rear of your vehicle.

High hopes but fell quite short

Bought last year for my new mtb 27.5 full suspension. Had to get Thule adaptor separately as full suspension frames cannot be installed directly to the rack. Worked great even with 2 bikes on it, when my wife had one of her own. But when I got my son his bike, problem arose- all 3 would hit each other constantly. Had to put towels on areas where there’s contact to avoid scratching or denting the bikes. Even with those in place, i saw scratches on 3 bikes. Pro’s: Easy to install and take away and store if not in use Good workmanship Cheaper than platform racks Easy installation Con’s: Bike would sway a lot especially on bumpy rides and speed bumps Have to purchase adaptor separately for full suspension bikes, women’s bikes, and kids’ bikes Don’t think 5 bikes would actually fit as advertised.
